Burmese Army opened three fronts for another major operation

KIA soldiers in front line

A skirmish broke out between KIA soldiers of 15th Battalion under 3rd Brigade and Burmese Army near Bumsen post on Oct 2, 2011 at 7 am. KLN is still investigating the number of casualties in this battle.

KIA soldiers under 5th Brigade fought against Burmese Army soldiers of 121st LIB under Northern Regional Military Command and 3rd Military Operation Command on Oct 2, 2011 from 12 noon to 2 pm. KIA soldiers surrounded more than 280 Burmese Army soldiers of 121st, one of the strongest battalion under Northern Regional Command, said a front line source. The number of casualties has not been reported so far.

Another front line source reported that Burmese Army battalions including 381st LIR, 382nd LIR, 383rd LIR under 3rd MOC and 142nd LIB, 121st LIB under Northern Regional Command are marching towards KIA’s 5th Brigade areas. Burmese Army opened three fronts, Ja Ing yang, Bangdawng and Shadan Pa, in this latest major operation against KIA.
